About to be under my own steam at last. I spent yesterday in Melbourne picking up a couple of nuts that had got lost in transit and replacing my fuel bottle and pump which customs had confiscated. I am unsure why they deemed empty fuel bottles a risk to the plane and had to take the pump as well. Several hundred dollars later … 🙁

The room was very small and I was skeptical that I could make the build happen there but a bit of judicious stacking of beds made it possible.

Room rearrangement

At least I was on the ground floor! The panel had to go on in the corridor due to the tight corner getting out of the room.

It is grey, gloomy and cool as I prepare to depart. The goal today is just over 40km  – heavily laden and the solar isn’t going to help much 🙂
