WWOOFing in Carnarvon

This stop has been a great call as a cold front came through and I got my first rain in a couple of months while here. Markham and CJ are great fun and the time here has been fantastic with great food and antics galore. I was mostly involved in helping in the construction of an elevated social area/stage using old pier poles and curved corrugated iron sheets from a failed tank build on an adjacent property. A Blue tongued lizard that got disturbed under the iron was a treat to watch scuttling away.
It is great to be in a social environment again with many interesting folk coming and going. Partying last night with a couple of kiwi’s – with all the old NZ bands Catchafire, DD Smash, Trinity roots etc – superb 🙂

Definitely a more dynamic climate as I head south tomorrow – wind, cloud and showers expected from here on in.
